EMOTIONAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EMPATHIZERS AND INSTIGATORS?

1. EMPATHIZERS OR E-TYPES ARE GRIEF EMBRACERS

2. INSTIGATORS OR I-TYPES ARE GRIEF AVOIDERS

In a couple relationship, these natural tendencies can cause unnecessary misunderstanding and conflicts.

Out of the ashes of grief springs new growth. Neither communicator style is better of worse.

Enjoyed your presentation and afternoon workshop at AMTDA! When I returned to work used some new ways to communicate with an E (I'm an I) and it was nice for both of us.

Thanks

BRAVO! Nicely written. I am flattered and appreciate the written reminders. I am also happy to report that my mood and my relationship with my husband are doing much better. He asked me what we talked about and, although somewhat painful, he is taking a look at his behaviors and responses and examining them to the best of his ability...(as always). I am trying to take good care of myself and not feel bad for feeling bad (sounds funny but really a huge problem for me!!). You have reinforced so many times my right to feel the way I feel. I think my feelings are even sometimes helpful to others... (OMG!!! AM I BECOMING AN OPTIMIST???) Ha! No way! (ahhh.. I'm back to my old self).... anyhoo, great column. You really have this I Type E Type system down. Can't tell you how much it helps each time we go over it. Thanks for your patience.

....excuse me while I go flush....
