February 29, 2008. The Independent Publisher, Axiom Business Book Awards, announced the winners of their inaugural competition. Talk to Me: Communication Moves to Get Along With Anyone received a Silver medal in the Communication Skills/Networking category.
The Axiom Business Awards are intended to bring increased recognition to exemplary business books and their creators, with the understanding that business people are a very well-read and informed segment of the population, eager to learn about great new books that will inspire and inform them, and help them improve their careers and businesses. The Axiom Awards are 100% dedicated to identifying the best business books published each year for the North American market. The Axiom Awards are the only U.S.-based award contest focused solely on business books.
February 21, 2008. Top executives from the Springboro, OH, Parts Express facility participated in Executive Team Training. Dr. O’Grady led the group through exercises and activities to demonstrate the principles, tools, and strategies of the Talk To Me© system. Participants receive the Friday Talk News each Friday which they will use internally to strengthen training principles throughout all levels of the company. Future training sessions are in the planning stages.
January 11, 2008. Sugarcreek Local Schools, Student Services Department, hosted an informational session on the value of using the Talk To Me© system, utilizing the system’s Typecasting Skills module. Participants received information on how to distinguish between Empathizer- and Instigator-type communicators, and how these differences impact communication between and among talk partners.
December 19, 2007. Executives of Dayton Freight Lines home office participated in an Executive Coaching session on the principles and utilization of the Talk To Me© system. The focus for this training session was the Talk To Me© module, Delivering Quality Feedback.
October 8, 2007. More than 15 top executives from the West Carrollton MOTOMAN, Inc. facility participated in Executive Team Training. Dr. O’Grady led the group through exercises and activities to demonstrate the principles, tools, and strategies of the Talk To Me© system, including the Talk Lottery, a unique feature of the MOTOMAN, Inc. initiative. From those who have participated in the Talk To Me© training, one person’s name is drawn. This person then meets with president Jennings and Dr. O’Grady to answer questions pertaining to the communication at MOTOMAN, Inc., and to speak honestly and specifically about how the tools and strategies learned might be utilized at work and in other communication arenas. Feedback received indicates that the Talk Lottery component of the Talk To Me© system is appreciated and valued by all those employees who have won the Lottery. Trust is being built through improved communication throughout the ranks at MOTOMAN, Inc.!
September 14, 2007. Dr. O’Grady broadcast the first of many Friday Talk News (FTN) issues to participants of corporate communication training sessions, executive coaching clients, and to others who expressed an interest in receiving the weekly articles. The FTN brings to recipients, articles which extend and reinforce the Talk To Me© principles and strategies which are taught in training sessions and presented in Talk to Me: Communication Moves to Get Along With Anyone, the Talk To Me© system textbook.
August 24, 2007. Dr. O’Grady participates in the Kick-Off of the West Carrollton MOTOMAN, Inc. COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE. Just Talk: Building Trust Through Positive and Effective Communication was designed to MOTOMAN, Inc. specifications, utilizing the Just Talk© system, developed by Dr. O’Grady. Realizing that communication skills affect not only work relationships, but also careers, goals, dreams, personal relationships, and family matters, MOTOMAN, Inc. president Craig Jennings and vice president Mike Gabbard collaborated with Dr. O’Grady to implement the program from the top down, including all MOTOMAN, Inc. employees. The initiative was expanded to include the Troy facility in November.
August 19, 2007. Little Switzerland, NC, was the site for the Machine Tool Systems, Inc., Talk To Me© Training, with a focus on the Listening Skills module. Dr. O’Grady led the group of nearly 80 managers and supervisors in activities which would enable participants to put the Talk To Me© system strategies and tools to work immediately.
May 23, 2007. In conjunction with The Ohio Society of CPAs Accounting Show at the Dayton Convention Center, Dr. O’Grady presented a session on Effective Leadership Communication to nearly 90 participants. Communication exchanges are the heart of all relationships, business and personal. How they are managed directly impacts an individual’s success as well as a company’s performance. O'Grady will help you assess your communication type – Empathizer or Instigator – as well as help you determine how to work with those of the same of opposite communication type.

February 21, 2007. Dr. Dennis O'Grady was invited to be a guest speaker for the Miami Valley Venture Association's bi-monthly board meeting held at the Dayton Racquet Club. The requested topic was on leadership communication. The MMVA is a networking group of professionals who share a common interest in the financial matters relative to starting and growing businesses.

"Talk to Me: Communication Moves to Get Along with Anyone” were purchased for the 100 attendees to reinforce the communication tools being taught in the seminar. This book is meant to be a resource to guide and reinforce understanding by building confidence in utilizing the Talk to Me Communication System©.
October 15-18, 2006. Dr. Dennis O'Grady speaks at the Morris Group All Branch Meeting held at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton, S.C. The Morris Group understands that company success is not only grounded in great teamwork and communication but also in the encouragement and positive communication that occurs from the home front. Therefore, recognizing corporate success also involves acknowledging and involving the spouses in this celebration event whose indirect support is provided on the company's behalf. Dr. O'Grady was their couple's speaker and he educated them in the tools of the "Talk to Me" Communication System©. A lot of fun and sharing was had by all which allowed people to get to know each other on a more personal level. There definitely was a lot of take home value both personally and professionally.
