But those same employers might also shy away from dealing with the emotional undertow of everyday frustrations that tire even the best workers. Participants in this program will learn assertion skills to counter "implosions" or "explosions" of anger, through the attainment of the following training goals.

Participants will:

  • Define healthy vs. unhealthy anger, through understanding the principle of, "How what you want in your life can be achieved when you remove resentment."

  • Define "The Anger Game" and the three interactive bases of rejection, resentment, and revenge; learn how to manage personal anger; and efficiently and strategically deal with the anger of others, for a total confidence boost.

  • Practice using the six goals of positive anger to quickly unload daily resentments and improve performance and energy, and learn tools to avoid defensive behavior, by talking assertively and positively.

  • Learn fast ways to cope with perceived interpersonal rejections and slights, and to get up after being shot down by the four types of rejection and "guerilla talk tactics."

  • Recognize resentments and blame games, understand core resentment beliefs, and apply principles to reduce resentment and incorporate satisfaction and happiness.

  • Find out how "turning the other cheek" and "revenge boomerangs" don’t always work.

  • Enjoy driving on the two-way communication highway freely by using on-ramps, off-ramps, road signs, observing speed limits, avoiding detours and talk wrecks, learning to drive around negative talk traffic jams to keep your attitude positive and realistic.
